I Live For...

I live for eccentric stores that sell things like notebooks with Audrey Hepburn quotes and ten types of gourmet lollipops.

I live for the feeling of when you just can't put a good book down.

I live for waking up early and realizing it's Saturday.

I live for eating cookie dough, no matter what anybody says about it.

I live for watching football games with a team I actually care about.

I live for laughing until my stomach hurts and I can't breathe.

I live for Bath and Body Works perfume, and I always have to check if they're having a sale.

I live for candles that smell like Christmas.

I live for when a Taylor Swift song comes on the radio at at the mall or the restaurant and I know all the words.

I live for going shopping and imagining all the fun things that you might be able to buy.

I live for when all my friends are together, and they're all having fun.

I live for watching terrible Christmas-themed romantic comedies and laughing and sighing and rolling your eyes through the entire thing. Actually, I live for a lot of Christmas-themed things.

I live for when I do my makeup and I actually look nice. Call me vain, but it's fun.

I live for walking into bookstores.

I live for the feeling after a really hard band practice where I know I did well.

I live for good hair days.

I live for smiling at waitresses and checkout line people.

I live for finding the perfect lockscreen for my phone.

I live for those perfect black ink pens. You know the ones I'm talking about.

I live for finding that one thing that's been missing for ages.

I live for people that I've been thinking about texting me.

I live for buying new lip gloss.

I live for when people are nice to me.

I live for getting a better grade than you thought you would on something.

I live for generally glittery or sparkly things.

I live for McDonald's french fries and hot fudge sundaes.

I live for the feeling of getting to the airport when you're about to go on a trip.

I live for those delicious Oreo cake balls.

I live for graphic tees with funny sayings on them.

I live for a lot of things.

What do you live for?

  1. Oh my goodness.
    Yes.
    Yes.
    YES.
This is everything in a post I needed right now. I have that warm, happy, homey feeling right now and aagghh I need to bottle this up and put this in a candle. (Honestly, though - walking into a bookstore is the best feeling in this whole entire universe. That, and turning on the radio to realize that Christmas music has finally started playing)
Would you mind if I did something like this on my blog? This is so wonderful. <3

    1. Oh, thank you so much! That really means a lot to me. Wanting to make a post into a candle is the highest compliment one can receive, I think.
Bookstores and Christmas are just so fantastic.
Of course! I'd love that so much! I can't wait to see the post.
      Love you, Olivia.

  4. COOKIE DOOOOUGH.
I love going shopping and walking out of a store with an armload of stuff that actually fits. I'm 4 ft. 10 inches and about 90 pounds, and often the x-smalls are too big for me. (This may sound like a nice problem to have. It is very much not a nice problem to have.) So if I ever walk out of a store with three or more things I love that actually fit, I feel like I'm on top of the world.
Ikr. My hair is naturally straight, but because of the way I wear it all the time (pulled back in a weird mock-bun) it gets kinks in it that make it look wavy. I love when I take it out of the hair elastic and it's bouncy and shiny with highlights and waves. It always makes me feel ten times more glamorous and confident.
I lOvE tHoSe PeNs Oh My GoSh.
Oh my gosh I love getting good grades. This probably sounds really arrogant, but I love getting back a test and scoring one of the highest - if not the highest - in the class.
I have never had a hot fudge sundae, but man does it sound good.
Hmm. I live for that feeling I get when I write something and I'm proud of it,
Having a conversation with my crush,
Stepping off the plane in Palm Springs and feeling the warm air envelope me and seeing the palm trees against the background of the sun setting over the mountain,
Discovering a new favorite artist or song,
    and mashed taters and gravy.

Oh, that's just the best feeling ever. And then you're all excited to try them on at home and look FAB the next day at school.
I KNOW IT'S THE BEST SURPRISE EVER like hello yes your hair decided to give you a reward day
      RIGHT??!
      Same. It's amazing.
GO GET ONE RIGHT NOW YOU HAVEN'T LIVED
Having a conversation with my crush! How did I forget that one? It's one of my favorite feelings, too.

  5. I love getting my makeup right too. Especially the moment where you get the winged eyeliner right and feel on top of the world.
    SATURDAYS MAN THEY'RE AMAZING.
I live for sitting with my earbuds in, listening to FOB, and feeling the rest of the world drain away so it's just me and the beat of the music and Patrick's soulful voice serenading out my lifeblood.
