All About Me #2

This was kind of a long time coming, huh? I had a bit of a writers block there for a while where I couldn't think of a single interesting idea, so I have turned to my last resort-- myself. And for some reason you guys seemed to find this interesting, so I'm pretty sure we all win here.
~
I steal other people's food all the time, but I get super offended when other people take mine.

I eat cookie dough regularly. Never have I ever gotten salmonella.

I'm in marching band. It's really one of the hardest things I've ever done. Our school is in one of the top zip codes for marching band, and it's really, really intense. But it's also one of the funnest and most rewarding things ever,

I hate hauling around extra coats, bags, or whatever if it's not strictly necessary.

I usually tend to get excited for Christmas around September and have to suppress my festive feeling until after Thanksgiving.
Truly, life is hard.

I sort of live for glittery things. My friends tease me because I probably always have some sort of sparkly thing on me at all times, and am prone to get distracted by them.

I always have a really difficult time waking up, but I can easily stay awake until 2am putting Taylor Swift quotes on my wall or whatever.

I hate spending over $20 on any one single item.

I bookmark sites that I know I'd be able to find easily again because I'm just that lazy.

I really, really do not like geometry.

I wear my hair in a messy bun 75% of the time.

I have a small obsession with dollhouses, and I love organizing and setting them up.

I love cold weather, which, as you can probably imagine, is a struggle because the weather here is chilly for maybe three months, max.

A large percentage of my Twitter feed may or may not be food porn.

I could spend hours in Michael's. HOURS. Seriously, you should never take me on an errand there because I'll get sucked in and spend the next three days admiring the varying shades of ribbon and wondering whether I should take up scrapbooking.
~
I think I should probably stop there, because I am not actually as interesting as I would have you believe and I would like to have some content for future posts.

I will leave you with these true words from Taylor.

Have a bread-tastic day.

I Live For...

I live for eccentric stores that sell things like notebooks with Audrey Hepburn quotes and ten types of gourmet lollipops.

I live for the feeling of when you just can't put a good book down.

I live for waking up early and realizing it's Saturday.

I live for eating cookie dough, no matter what anybody says about it.

I live for watching football games with a team I actually care about.

I live for laughing until my stomach hurts and I can't breathe.

I live for Bath and Body Works perfume, and I always have to check if they're having a sale.

I live for candles that smell like Christmas.

I live for when a Taylor Swift song comes on the radio at at the mall or the restaurant and I know all the words.

I live for going shopping and imagining all the fun things that you might be able to buy.

I live for when all my friends are together, and they're all having fun.

I live for watching terrible Christmas-themed romantic comedies and laughing and sighing and rolling your eyes through the entire thing. Actually, I live for a lot of Christmas-themed things.

I live for when I do my makeup and I actually look nice. Call me vain, but it's fun.

I live for walking into bookstores.

I live for the feeling after a really hard band practice where I know I did well.

I live for good hair days.

I live for smiling at waitresses and checkout line people.

I live for finding the perfect lockscreen for my phone.

I live for those perfect black ink pens. You know the ones I'm talking about.

I live for finding that one thing that's been missing for ages.

I live for people that I've been thinking about texting me.

I live for buying new lip gloss.

I live for when people are nice to me.

I live for getting a better grade than you thought you would on something.

I live for generally glittery or sparkly things.

I live for McDonald's french fries and hot fudge sundaes.

I live for the feeling of getting to the airport when you're about to go on a trip.

I live for those delicious Oreo cake balls.

I live for graphic tees with funny sayings on them.

I live for a lot of things.

What do you live for?

"Y'know, I bet Percy and Annabeth name their first daughter Sally."

"I wonder if mermaids exist."

"Okay, so if I were to get The Sims, what would my sim look like?"

"I just really love Taylor Swift."

all about me

Lately I've been thinking, and I've realized that you guys really don't know a lot about me.
Sure, you know that I love Taylor Swift and the color pink, but you don't know me.

Well, this post is here to change that.

I felt like these were appropriate.

First and foremost, I am a Mormon and a Christian.

I know I wouldn't be one half the person I am today without my religion, and I am going to stand by it until the end.
I can't really put into words how much it means to me.
If you want to know more about my religion, you can go to mormon.org.
I love it.

I'm allergic to peanuts.

Yep, folks, I'm the annoying chick who always has to ask what's in the dessert at parties. I'm not take-one-whiff-and-I-have-to-go-to-the-hospital allergic, but it's pretty bad.
And no, I have never had to use an EpiPen.
Mostly when I have a reaction it's accidental, and I didn't eat much peanut butter. For those reactions, I just need Benadryl. If I go into shock, that's when it's time to break out the EpiPen.

Fun story, once one of my youth leaders said that if she ever got mad at me she would lock me in a room with only peanut butter, so the only thing I would be able to eat was the thing I was allergic to.

She was kidding.
I think.

i LOVE RAIN.

Thunderstorms, specifically, but any rain will do.
I would go and dance in the rain if my mom would let me. I've jumped on our trampoline before in the pouring rain. Which is actually quite dangerous, now that I think about it.

 NO REGRETS.

I could spend literally hours on Pinterest looking at ballgowns and dreaming up stories to go with them and imagining how I would look in them.
I plan to be married in a ballgown dress.

i mEAN
JUST LOOK AT ALL THAT SPARKLY MAGICALNESS
I wanted to be Cinderella as a child mostly because of her dress.
still do actually.

I know I've mentioned loving the classic Disney films somewhere, but I also adore Pixar. The humor is amazing and the animation is gorgeous and they make me cry even though I never cry during movies,

Just...don't ask me about movies...or we'll be here all day.......

That is it for this post, fellow countrymen, but FEAR NOT, because I'm thinking of continuing this as a series. Drop me a comment below and tell me what you thought of it.

And if someone tells you to not eat raw cookie dough, quit talking to them. You don't need that kind of negative influence in your life.

Randomness and Tidbits #1

Kay, people.
Let's talk.

THIS SERIES WAS INSPIRED BY ADALINE. I'VE SEEN A BUNCH OF PEOPLE TRYING TO TAKE HER IDEAS WITHOUT CREDIT.
NO SIRREE BOB.

It's just not right to take someone's idea, tweak it a little bit, and pass it off as your own.
So just don't.

OR YOU'LL HAVE ME TO ANSWER TO

*actually i probably couldn't do much to you but the theory is there*

Thank you, and goodnight.

~

Anyway. as you might have guessed, this is going to be like Adi's Jumbled Thoughts.
That is to say, freaking amazing.
Because you can't go wrong with Tumblr posts and Taylor gifs.

I could watch this all day.

"I'M CRASHING! I'M CRASHING!"

Bless Phillip Lester.

'ARRY POTTER.

I recently got into Poptropica (and it's taken over my life bc I'm a cool kid) and one of the islands is mythology themed.
I ACED IT.

"Hi, I'm Percy Jackson, and you're watching Disney Channel."

somehow all four of them are me playing video games

GUYS THE FOURTH BOOK TO THE SELECTION SERIES CAME OUT TWO WEEKS AGO AND I FINISHED IT IN ONE NIGHT AND I'M JUST NOW POSTING ABOUT IT
IT DESTROYED MY LIFE

The Bad Blood video came out on Sunday.
I was basically like

it was so freaking amazing
and there were EXPLOSIONS
and it was SOOOOO EPPPIICCC

If you don't know this song do everybody a favor and Youtube this right now.
And then listen to The Water Buffalo Song.
maybe this is why I'm afraid of other teenagers

I laugh at things like this and worry about myself.

And to close out this post, one of my favorite quotes ever.

REMEMBER THAT SUMMER IS NEARLY HERE GUYS
THAT'S CAUSE TO CELEBRATE

why i hate standardized testing

You know those three weeks out of every school year that every single person in the school dreads? When the teachers turn into drill sergeants and you have to sit at your desk for four hours and twiddle your thumbs?

Yep, it's testing season. And my school is officially in crunch mode.

Now, I don't actually hate the testing itself. I'm a reasonably good test taker, and actually kind of enjoy bubbling in all the answers and stuff.
No, what I hate about testing is everything that comes along with it.

First off, there's the half hour at the beginning where you have to sign the cell phone policy, and listen to the directions, and make sure everyone has pencils. Then once you finally get the dang test started, you can't even breathe without the teacher swooping in on you and threatening you with a zero.

Just, like, chill out, man.

Then there's those questions on the test that make no sense and none of the answers seem correct. I hate those so much.

"EXCUSE ME, THIS PASSAGE WAS NOT WHIMSICAL, HOSTILE, LIGHT-HEARTED, OR BROODING. CAN I HAVE A FIFTH OPTION."

Once you get the test turned in, you have the rest of the testing time to either read or sleep or watch the clock tick down do the time when you can finally get out of there. I usually read, but sitting in the same spot for four hours gets quite uncomfortable and ALL YOU WANT TO DO IS CHECK TWITTER BUT YOUR CELL PHONE IS IN A PLASTIC BIN AT THE FRONT OF THE ROOM

AND IT'S WAY STUFFY IN YOUR TESTING ROOM AND OF COURSE YOU WORE A HOODIE

AND YOU NEED TO USE THE BATHROOM BUT THERE'S LIKE FOUR PEOPLE AHEAD OF YOU

And then, just when you think you're going to lose it, time is up and you can finally leave.

Repeat.

I really don't enjoy testing days.

(except when i have a new book.)

So, do you guys feel the same way? Or can you actually stand it? If you can please oh please tell me your secret.

I've still got a long time before I graduate.

obsessed with:

Hello, people.

I'm actually going to start posting on here.

*blows kiss*

~
So there's a number of things that I've gotten OBSESSED with of late. Things that were always there, but I didn't realize just how
dang
awesome
 they were.

Until now.

And of course I'm going to make a list, just to remind us all of what a fangirl I am.

1. Percy Jackson

So, confession. My brother has owned the Percy Jackson books and loved them for several years, but I always thought they were more of a boy thing. I seriously didn't want to read them for a very long time.
(of course, the mediocre movie trailer didn't help.)
Anyway, about a month ago my school had a few days of standardized testing, and at my brother's insistence, I brought the first Percy Jackson book with me to read when I was done with my test.

O B S E S S E D.

Immediately.

I then proceeded to tear through about a book a day, and finished the entire series, then the spin-off series in about two weeks.

And I am now a very proud Percy Jackson fangirl.

2.  Dan and Phil

These people are hilarious.
So hilarious.

I watched like two Phil videos (YEAH THANKS A LOT ADI) and I was hooked.
I just could not get over how outrageously funny these guys were.

They each have a seperate YouTube channel, and then a joint gaming channel, which is massively entertaining for *cough* nerd girls like me that actually know about/CAN DOMINATE ON a good percent of those games.

So they are kind of my British male twins.

Sort of.

Just remember, guys, the cat whiskers come from within.

3. Weddings

I am that girl who had from day one dreamed about her wedding day. I. Just. Love. Weddings.

Wedding receptions, gowns, photography, bridesmaids, shows, you name it. If it's wedding related, I LOVE IT.

I can literally spend hours on Pinterest looking at wedding gowns and reception decor, or thinking about what my wedding song is going to be.
It's an issue, guys.

(BUT IF YOU FIND ANYTHING WEDDING RELATED EMAIL IT TO ME ASAP)

And that's all I can think of for now! Join us next time to see what else is up in my psycho fangirl life.
