Randomness and Tidbits #2

My favorite thing about summer is that I can wake up at 11, have donuts for breakfast, and type up blog posts while listening to Marina And The Diamonds on YouTube.

Glory hallelujah.

Hercules, while being a terrible representation of Greek mythology, is absolutely hilarious.

I think that'll do for today.

all about me

Lately I've been thinking, and I've realized that you guys really don't know a lot about me.
Sure, you know that I love Taylor Swift and the color pink, but you don't know me.

Well, this post is here to change that.

I felt like these were appropriate.

First and foremost, I am a Mormon and a Christian.

I know I wouldn't be one half the person I am today without my religion, and I am going to stand by it until the end.
I can't really put into words how much it means to me.
If you want to know more about my religion, you can go to mormon.org.
I love it.

I'm allergic to peanuts.

Yep, folks, I'm the annoying chick who always has to ask what's in the dessert at parties. I'm not take-one-whiff-and-I-have-to-go-to-the-hospital allergic, but it's pretty bad.
And no, I have never had to use an EpiPen.
Mostly when I have a reaction it's accidental, and I didn't eat much peanut butter. For those reactions, I just need Benadryl. If I go into shock, that's when it's time to break out the EpiPen.

Fun story, once one of my youth leaders said that if she ever got mad at me she would lock me in a room with only peanut butter, so the only thing I would be able to eat was the thing I was allergic to.

She was kidding.
I think.

i LOVE RAIN.

Thunderstorms, specifically, but any rain will do.
I would go and dance in the rain if my mom would let me. I've jumped on our trampoline before in the pouring rain. Which is actually quite dangerous, now that I think about it.

 NO REGRETS.

I could spend literally hours on Pinterest looking at ballgowns and dreaming up stories to go with them and imagining how I would look in them.
I plan to be married in a ballgown dress.

i mEAN
JUST LOOK AT ALL THAT SPARKLY MAGICALNESS
I wanted to be Cinderella as a child mostly because of her dress.
still do actually.

I know I've mentioned loving the classic Disney films somewhere, but I also adore Pixar. The humor is amazing and the animation is gorgeous and they make me cry even though I never cry during movies,

Just...don't ask me about movies...or we'll be here all day.......

That is it for this post, fellow countrymen, but FEAR NOT, because I'm thinking of continuing this as a series. Drop me a comment below and tell me what you thought of it.

And if someone tells you to not eat raw cookie dough, quit talking to them. You don't need that kind of negative influence in your life.

The Blessing in Disguise Award

Hola, compadres.

this is how i greet literally 98% of my friends

I was nominated for the Blessing in Disguise Award by the lovely and amazing Adaline and Kelsey. Their blogs are both so interesting and creative, and they appreciate the wonder that is Poptropica.

ONWARD HO, THEN.

Adi's questions:

Favorite book character? Why?
I'm going to have to go with Hermione Granger, because she's a fantastic role model for young girls. She dealt with being thrown into a completely new world, her best friends fighting with each other constantly, racism, and sexism, but she was still a strong, smart woman who saved Harry approximately 876 times.

Do you enjoy blog design?
YES. I love designing headers, playing with fonts, and adding new things to my sidebar.
It's so fun.

Do you play any instruments? If yes, for how long have you played? If not, is there anything you'd like to play?

I can and still do play the piano a little bit. I think I had lessons starting when I was..five? But my main instrument now is clarinet. I've been playing since I was in sixth grade, so that's about three years. I really really love it.

Kelsey's questions:

In the last year, have you met anyone who's changed you in any way?
Honestly?
All of you.
Adi taught me about new music, Kelsey taught me about accepting everyone. Maddie taught me about photography and friendship.
There's so much more, but I know that I wouldn't be the same person without you guys.
What is something you absolutely cannot wait for?
SUMMER.
I have a lot of fun plans this summer and I absolutely cannot wait.
Also, the release of the fifth book in the selection series.
I can't wait a year. Not happening.
When was the last time you laughed until you cried?
When my dad was telling us a story about the magician that was performing on the cruise ship we were on when there was a huge storm.
He's a good story teller.

I nominate:

Maddie: Maddie is one of my best online friends, and her photoshoots are breathtaking. You won't regret visiting her, trust me.

Olivia: Olivia runs two amazingly geeky blogs, and fangirls with me over Taylor Swift.
She also recommends very beautiful and expensive Etsy things to me.
She needs to stop doing that.

Abigail: Abigail is the sweetest, and I think she's a part of nearly every fandom on the face of the earth. She's just so great.

QUESTIONS FOR THE NOMINEES I'M SORRY I FORGOT THIS PART
What is you favorite part about our blogging community?
Any plans for this summer?
Can you do CPR?

And with that, fellow warriors, I leave you.

HAVE A FABULOUS MEMORIAL DAY, OKAY?

You guys are seriously the best.

Randomness and Tidbits #1

Kay, people.
Let's talk.

THIS SERIES WAS INSPIRED BY ADALINE. I'VE SEEN A BUNCH OF PEOPLE TRYING TO TAKE HER IDEAS WITHOUT CREDIT.
NO SIRREE BOB.

It's just not right to take someone's idea, tweak it a little bit, and pass it off as your own.
So just don't.

OR YOU'LL HAVE ME TO ANSWER TO

*actually i probably couldn't do much to you but the theory is there*

Thank you, and goodnight.

~

Anyway. as you might have guessed, this is going to be like Adi's Jumbled Thoughts.
That is to say, freaking amazing.
Because you can't go wrong with Tumblr posts and Taylor gifs.

I could watch this all day.

"I'M CRASHING! I'M CRASHING!"

Bless Phillip Lester.

'ARRY POTTER.

I recently got into Poptropica (and it's taken over my life bc I'm a cool kid) and one of the islands is mythology themed.
I ACED IT.

"Hi, I'm Percy Jackson, and you're watching Disney Channel."

somehow all four of them are me playing video games

GUYS THE FOURTH BOOK TO THE SELECTION SERIES CAME OUT TWO WEEKS AGO AND I FINISHED IT IN ONE NIGHT AND I'M JUST NOW POSTING ABOUT IT
IT DESTROYED MY LIFE

The Bad Blood video came out on Sunday.
I was basically like

it was so freaking amazing
and there were EXPLOSIONS
and it was SOOOOO EPPPIICCC

If you don't know this song do everybody a favor and Youtube this right now.
And then listen to The Water Buffalo Song.
maybe this is why I'm afraid of other teenagers

I laugh at things like this and worry about myself.

And to close out this post, one of my favorite quotes ever.

REMEMBER THAT SUMMER IS NEARLY HERE GUYS
THAT'S CAUSE TO CELEBRATE

Books & Reading Tag

disclaimer: this could get really freaking weird/emotional so read at your own risk.

Thank you Kelsey for nominating me for this!
She's so hilarious and her blog is amazing, so do hop on over there.

ANYWAY
you guys ready??

1. April TBR (To be read)?
Paper Towns! I really want to read the book before the movie comes out this summer.

2. Book (series) you would like to see as a movie?
The Books of Bayern. It's one of my favorite series ever and I could honestly read them all day long. Also, they would make amazing movies.

(if they don't pull a percy jackson on us.
still salty.)

3. Overhyped book/author?
ummmmmm
UMMMMMM
don't kill me pls

MOCKINGJAY.
I absolutely loved The Hunger Games and Catching Fire, but Mockingjay was really slow and a bit dull. I felt like I had to force myself through most of it.
Didn't love the ending either.

4. The best book series you will ever read?

*sings*
HAAARRY POTTTTTEEER

Percy Jackson is a very very close second, but HP will always be my baby.

Seriously though.
How could you not love this series?

5. Book to movie adaption that was really bad?
*sobs*
percy jackson.
just...no.
I've heard that the director didn't even read the book.
*cringes*

6. Books that just made you cry?
I just forgot every book I ever read.
Every single Selection book made me sob though, as well as The Mark of Athena.

7. Book you're reading right now? Give it a quick rating.
Just finished The Heir by Kiera Cass.
life destroying in the best way possible

8. A book series that you just didn't like?
The Matched series just wasn't my favorite. I have a problem with dystopian novels where I'm internally yelling at the main character to quit questioning the society and sit down.
That was probably a big part of it. xD

9. Book that you haven't read yet, but really need to?
Haven't gotten around to TFIOS yet.
Maybe this summer...

10. What's your favorite children's book?

For some reason Chicka Chicka Boom Boom has always been my favorite.
Idk, I'm messed up.

AYYYYY THANKS AGAIN KELSEY THAT WAS FUN

Don't got time to nominate people today, sowwy. Take it if you wish.

*blows kisses*
have a great day and listen to lots of taylor swift.
